#ASAE23: Key Takeaways from Lead Marvels

Our team shares their favorite moments from the American Society of Association Executives #ASAE23 in Atlanta this month.

The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Annual Meeting and Exposition (#ASAE23) took place in Atlanta from August 5-8, and Lead Marvels sent a team to attend this important event.

ASAE’s theme, appropriately, was “Shape Your Purpose.” Our purpose at Lead Marvels is to serve the organizations that serve so many others and play such an important role in our society. It was inspiring to be part of a community of association professionals coming together for a few days to connect, learn from each other, and grow.

The energy at the event was palpable, from Daymond John’s inspirational keynote to the exhibit hall and the crowded educational sessions. It was wonderful to meet with so many of our friends and partners as we came together to shape our purpose!

Following are some of the highlights from our team.

“My thanks to the American Society of Association Executives for orchestrating an exceptional 2023 annual meeting and expo in Atlanta. The event was truly remarkable, offering valuable insights and networking opportunities. ASAE’s dedication to advancing the industry is inspiring.

It was fantastic to be able to catch up in person with so many association partners and friends at our booth and our Success Crew party at Wild Leap.

And it’s always a special time being on the road with my Lead Marvels family. There were lots of laughs and smiles as our team worked the booth and met with attendees, many of whom won money from us during some pretty spirited GoPong matches.

I’m already looking forward to next year!”

“This was a great event. The venue and program were well thought out and promoted an environment of education, engagement, and fun. Meeting with our clients in person and building on those relationships was also great. And hearing directly from association leaders about their needs and concerns will help Lead Marvels to continue evolving to meet the needs of the industry.

Seeing our team in action at our booth and how they engaged with people proved to me that this is much more than a job; they are genuinely passionate about the industry and our clients.

Thank you to the American Society of Association Executives and the Lead Marvels team for making this year's #ASAE23 a success! We look forward to Cleveland next year!”

“The conference was an excellent facilitator for conversations with association partners and customers alike. The exhibitor hall was full of creative, fun, and enticing exhibits for attendees.

I was really proud of how our team worked together to make the steady flow of visitors to our booth feel welcome and relaxed while we educated prospective association partners about our platform. So many of the attendees and exhibitors we spoke with have creative business minds and asked a lot of great questions.

The social events after the sessions were also first-class; the opening ceremony featured great food, drinks, entertainment, and games; and the Success Crew event that Lead Marvels sponsored at Wild Leap was so packed and buzzing it felt like the coolest place to be in the city!”

“ASAE was fantastic! I had the pleasure of meeting fellow association leaders — including many of our existing partners — in person for the first time. After so many virtual conversations, it was wonderful to have that face-to-face interaction.

Visitors to our booth seemed to enjoy challenging us to a laid-back game of beer pong which, as it turns out, is a great way to get to know someone. The welcoming ceremony and after-parties offered a relaxed atmosphere for meaningful networking, not to mention a few tasty cocktails.

I know I’m not the only one, but I’m already looking forward to ASAE 2024!”

Thank you American Society of Association Executives
